Funding boost for key organisations

The Welsh Government has announced a new round of funding for organisations and projects supporting vulnerable children, adults and older people. The £22million funding boost, announced by Health and Social Services Minister Mark Drakeford AM, will benefit third sector groups connected to adoption, looked after children, people with learning disabilities, sensory disabilities and autism, and volunteers working with older people.

This funding will provide a significant boost to community groups and organisations working with vulnerable children, adults and older people across Wales, including here in Newport. In Wales we have a Welsh Labour Government which is reaching out to unsung workers and volunteers, and giving them the support they need and deserve to carry out their vital work.
