It was a privilege to see the good work Gwalia are involved in here in Newport through the Ty Trosiad project.
The Ty Trosiad project, which is part of the Supporting People Programme and Newport City Council’s Supported Housing Gateway, offers accommodation and floating support to individuals with an offending history. During the visit, which was also attended by Newport East AM John Griffiths, I was able to see first-hand how the project has made an impact on the lives of service-users by supporting them into employment, education and training.
It’s important that we continue to support excellent projects like Ty Trosiad which ensure that those who need it are given support to make such positive changes.
